Removing Hard Water Rings
That stubborn ring around the water line is caused by mineral deposits. Regular brushing often won't remove it.
The Pumice Stone
A pumice stone is a volcanic rock that is harder than the mineral deposits but softer than porcelain. Wet the stone and the toilet bowl, then gently scrub the ring. It works like an eraser.
Vinegar Soak
Turn off the water to the toilet and flush to empty the bowl. Line the bowl with paper towels soaked in white vinegar. Let it sit for a few hours or overnight. Remove the towels and scrub.
Disinfecting
Don't forget to disinfect the outside of the toilet, the handle, and the seat. Use a disinfectant spray or wipes and let the surface remain wet for the recommended contact time (usually 10 minutes) to kill germs.
