The Baking Soda & Vinegar Method
This classic combination is safe for your family and tough on grease.
- Remove oven racks.
- Make a paste with 1/2 cup of baking soda and a few tablespoons of water.
- Spread the paste all over the interior surfaces of your oven, steering clear of the heating elements. The paste will turn brown as it absorbs grease.
- Let it sit overnight (at least 12 hours).
- The next day, wipe out the oven with a damp cloth.
- Put a little vinegar in a spray bottle and spray everywhere you see baking soda residue. It will foam.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
